Rugby Community Choir

Rugby Community Choir is open to everyone – no auditions or prior singing experience is necessary. There is no obligation to perform in concerts or in public so come along and join in the fun singing with our friendly choir.  We take on a wide range of songs and styles and work hard to improve our singing voices.

We are a community choir and so we also like to support local charities and events.  There is a small fee for each rehearsal of £3 and an annual charge of £2 which is there to cover the hire of the hall, provide music, and provide a small fee for our musical director and pianist - where else can you get an evening of fun for £3?

No one is obliged to attend each session and funding is on a “pay and sing” basis, although we do encourage members to pay per term if possible.  Equally, performances are on a voluntary basis but are thoroughly enjoyable, even if we feel a bit nervous beforehand!

We now have 70 members on our books - young and old, men and women, and at each session around 30 people come together to support each other.  The sound is fantastic and the emphasis at rehearsal is on enjoyment and singing together – the fun and sense of achievement we get during rehearsals ensures we depart on a high and looking forward to our next rehearsal.
